It gets really hot when in use and you dont want to be around it. Hubby burnt his hand when he was reaching for something over it, it has holes on top so it releases some of the hot steam. The steriliser could have had a water limit mark on the inside, it is hard to remember how much water to put in every time. Those are the reasons i knocked off an extra star.
